I think it's a good sign, in that some one thinks that it's wrong to ban large groups of people fome the public lands. :)My understanding is that the Division is presently in the process of reviewing its resources to determine where, if anywhere, off road or all terrain vehicles can be safely employed. I see no reason why the Legislature should pre-empt such investigations.
Obviously, the use of such vehicles in every park is neither practical nor desirable. But given the number of citizens who enjoy such recreational activities, it seems to me that there may be places in the state where this activity may legitimately be permitted. The initial call, it seems to me, should be made by the Division.
I would oppose any attempts to legislatively short circuit the process, preferring those charged with ensuring the broadest possible usefulness of our parks to pass on this issue first.
