I have my own practice track with a few jumps but i want some more. The guy who built part of my track for me did not finish the 60 foot triple so i'll have to do it myself, and i was wondering how big and at what degree i should have my takeoff jump be. i want it to be a mx style jump and not a sx style. it will have about a 120 foot run at it coming out of a 90 degree corner. thanks for any help.:D
at my friends house we had a 60+ foot triple with a decent run and the lip was probably about 4-5 ft tall, it was pretty steep though, kicked good. just start out with the lip not very steep, and keep making it steeper until you get it where you want it.
Do you have the take off jump in place? If not make the jump with out the triple in place. This way you can try the jump as a single. If it doesn't feel riding, or you want to make it larger, just add more dirt and re-shape. Also this will give you a idea how long to make the triple with out getting hurt the first time you go WFO.
