I guess I'll try this again... apparently I angered the moderators when I posted this in more than one forum so they canx'd all the posts.

I want to buy my son a bike to replace his YZ 80. We ride in the desert and do a good bit of hill climbing. He is not physically big enough for a 125, but I am afraid that a KX 100 will be plagued with the same powerband problems as his YZ.

Is there a way to flatten the power curve? I would be willing to loose some on the top end if I could get a low/mid-range boost with a more predictical curve.

Any help would be appreciated.
