To turn the TTR 125 into a mx bike, simply take the stickers off the TTR and put them on a YZ 85. Seriously, the TTR is a good bike, I own 2 of them for my kids, they ride 100% trails on them. The suspension and power is no where near capable of mx. for several thousand dollars, BBR can make you a work-of-art TTR that at least will be a little more competative. if you want a race bike, buy a race bike.
Yes, the BBR TTR-125 is a good MX bike. They are going for about $10,000. It is a highly modded TTR-125 motor with a 150cc kit stuffed in a tricked out Honda CR80 aluminum frame with custom goodies everywhere. If you're talking about the stock TTR-125L you can pick up for $2300 OTD, you'll be a lapper. You can mod it with a YZ85 fork, a Powroll 150cc bore kit, Powroll pipe, BBR extended swingarm, Works rear shock, etc., but now you've spent close to $3000 in addition to your initial $2300 and you've still got a rear drum brake unless you can snag a Japanese market rear disc setup. A cheaper bet (in the long run, more expensive up front) is to pick up a YZ250F for MX. It comes tuned up and ready to rock.
