how high can you run clamps on the tubes?

Anytime the fork tubes are moved too far either way. you loose clamping surface area Which makes the fork feel like a bike from the 70's. You have to look at the bottom clamp too, if you move to far you start to clamp over the tapered part of the fork.

The other reason its not a good Idea is because it throws off the sterring geometry alot. It will make your bike corner like a KX500.

whoops maybe it is a KX500 sorry...

I wasn't saying that he was wrong, I was simply asking for a REASON why you can't "NOPE" isn't a very descriptive answer.
