I have a 93 kdx200 that has just been completly rebuilt (new bearings, rod, seals, gaskets, piston& rings, clutch). I put 800cc of oil in the tranny like it says but I can't see any oil in the sight glass, what should I do? Thanks
Is it over full? Tip the bike way oversideways to see.
Go to www.frpoffroad.com
and ask if it is OK to overfill your bike. I know that Jeff Fredette recommends overfilling KDX's but I don't know what model years.
yup tip the bike up straight and see ,i put most of the quart in mine ,i believe it was Jeff himself in that post at frp forum, says 8-850 ml to coat bearings and quiet things a bit .
Oil fill after a complete tear down is going to take more than an oil change.
The clutch plates were soaked as per instructions, right? (doesn't have anything to do with your question...but I like to add a little complete off-topic, unasked for opinion......;) )
Add oil until it shows for sure. It's not going to magically disappear somewheres. Well...unless there is something really really wrong (as opposed to just plain old 'really wrong').
