Maybe they didn't clean the air filter enough. This is the only real difference I can see. With dirt bikes you are always riding in dust so air filters need much more attention than mowers etc. Maybe it is because of the light weight alloys and stuff they use to make the pistons now. Maybe they wear quicker. One thing is for sure, anyone who replaces the top end as often as manufacturers say is being ripped off. [/QUOTE]
