glad to see there are a few other middle-aged riders on the forum and pounding the dirt...maybe a bad choice of words...i know ive been pushing it (relative i'm sure) and have 'pounded' the dirt more than a few times. each time i've got up and pushed harder.

i just started mx'g this year and cant understand whats kept me from this sport so long. i bought my first knobby tire bike a few months ago and love it...only problem, i know only one other person w/ a dirt bike and he's not as passionate as i am about saddle time.

i've road raced and done track days for several years but this mx'g, especially getting some air, is truly addicitive. :yeehaw:

am i crazy to want to learn to jump 30-40-50 feet at this age???? any other late bloomers out there?

Been trying to ride for the last 5 years ;) So yeah jdw, there is at least one other late bloomer out here :cool: And all the this dirt sampling is addictive I just wish I had the opportunity to take it up earlier ya know.

same as Walt said.started when I was 7 then stopped at age 21..married,kids,house....just started back up a few months back at age 36.Wished I would have never quit.long lay off,but none the less I'm back throwin rocks and kickin up dust HOOOYA!!

52, started street at 15 then dirt at about 20. Stopped all street riding in 1986 now only off road. At first toyed with m/x then some form off road competition occasionally. I mainly do what I call trailracing, just trying to beat your buds.
Last year started racing the STORM series in Texas in the over 50A class.
Fingers crossed for many more years! ;)
