LOL! At my last race (2 years ago) I had the presence of mind (others might call it something else) to snap a pic of my finger that was out of socket before attempting to pull it out to reset it.

in all seriousness...oring chain, WD40 after washing the bike or a wet ride...and you will not have to ever "wash" your chain, since there won't be all that abrasive dirt and sand stuck to it. And you will find your chain lasts for a long time.
