I'm kind of leaning towards keeping my bike complete since it's in nearly perfect shape. I could then look for a newer engine and avoid the head mount issue. The main question I'm still trying to answer is which year of KX would be the most suitable for what I'm trying to do. If any of the ones from the last 10 years would be equally suitable, then I can look according to condition more than year.
