Dont know how many of you read my little poem/prayer in the other thread but IT WORKED!!!!! Late last night I was up reading some post and just got DEPRESSED again thinking about how long it was going to take to shed all the white stuff.. So I wrote this poem/prayer and posted it (hey, you never know right?):

A Woodsy Poem/Prayer for his ridin buds..

Lord, these dirtriders are friends of mine
and NOT of mine alone.
They need your assistance more now
then ANY other time I've known.

You see, there minds are melting down
with every passing day.
This white stuff that is on the ground
is REALLY in their way!

Fender got a brand new bike (corrected version)
that he cant wait to ride.
70marlin, Mweissen, his Dad and I
are waiting at his side!

And there are SCORES of others Lord
who wait as patiently.
To see this MISERABLE white stuff gone
so we can start our riding spree!

This one thing we ask dear God
if this short message gets thru.
Turn up the heat and melt this stuff
BEFORE our tempers do!! Amen....

I GOT UP THIS MORNING AND THE STUFF WAS MELTING!!! Not only that, they are forcasting 40 - thats CORRECT, 40 for next Thursday!
Get those bikes tuned and clean your goggles fella's - the boys are back in town!
YEEEEE, HAAAAA

Woodsy...boy now I wonder what to pray for! I am havin to much fun on the snowmobiles this year (our first winter for sleddin). Did 300 miles in the UP last weekend, and just got back from a ride with my kid tonight. But every time I pass a ORV trail marker along the snomo trail...i find myself peering down that single track...thinkin of summer.

So...here is my compromise - keep the snow until say 3/15, but let me find a good spot to ride the katoom with the studded up tires between now and then... I aint ready to put up the sleds yet! (but that bike is calling out to me.....). Sound reasonable?

Poem/Prayer continues..

As you can see Lord cause your looking down
its REALLY gotten BAD.
My biker friends that live "up north"
have already been had!

The snow has taken away their sense
and ability to refrain.
They no longer can see the point
of waiting for biking pain!

I only hope you hear this plea
and MELT this stuff we dont like!
Lest even fellow riders here
wind up like ktmMike!!

Woodsy :)

Cool, Woodsy. I also find myself looking forward to warmer weather. I know Mike wants to get out the bike this month, and I hope to go with him.

Ok...so the snow has gone to my brain... I have been snow plowing for the last 3.5 hours! Stupid drifting and a looooong driveway (1/2 mile) ....wife says the snow can go anytime....but the kids are heading out to the sleds right now...and I still have another hour or two of plowing!

Woodsy - you are a bright spot in the midst of a looong winter...gotta go..I hear the sleds are a running! I think i am gonna got out on some of the snomo trails that are also ORV routes and roost on some Artic Kittys or something! (you get really odd looks from the sledders when you are on a bike!). The driveway can wait!

The snow is still too deep
I think about riding in my sleep
The temps are so cold
this stuff is getting old
we rented an indoor track
I was following napper staring at his butt crack
we lofted the bikes off the lip
flying in the air is a trip
I still miss riding the woods
MX is Ok but not the goods
I can't get my bike that pretty
like the MX fags from the city

The end

ALL RIGHT - some competition!!!!

Freddy's gonna try his best oh Lord
to keep up with my ryhme.
I suppose if he trys hard enough
he'll beat me in due time.

And that is fine with me you know
cause really, I'm not proud.
But if it were a wheelie contest
I'd be screaming FOUL, loud!

Because he's been practicing his riding skills
with his very close friend Napper.
While I have been WORKING hard
at home or sitting on the crapper :)

Now maybe with some practice time
his writing will improve.
Just let him know when the snow is gone
Woodsy's KX is on the MOVE!!!

LOL

Ahh the poet battle!
Created by keyboard rattle
Began by Woodsy
followed closely by FredT!

Who will come out on top? :joke:
Or will it just be a flop!

The only winners will be
DRN's that shout with glee

Moto poet!
Those that know et
will enjoy this race

Until the pace
of melting snow reveals

The moto trail appeals! :aj:

ahhhhh, hahahahahahahahahahaha, ahhhhhhhhh, hahahahahahahh, ahhhhhhhhhhh, hahahahahahahah, ahh, hahahahahaha, ah ahah, hahaha

We may not have the trails to ride
cause their all backed up with snow.
We may not be on the bikes we love
out riding the trails we know.

We might be stuck inside our homes
in front of these dumb pc's.
The only other entertainment playing
cards or watching TV's.

All's fine with Woodsy in his heart
you never here him say, OH BROTHER.
With friends like you guys, he'll say instead
AT LEAST WE HAVE EACH OTHER!!

You guys are THE GREATEST!!!!

ahhh hahaha

My belly's still sore
The Daytona round-e-round's a bore

So what do I do
To keep from going cuckoo?

I make silly rhymes
to go with the times

Of too much snow
and not enough go!

So I wait and wait
for an ESPN2 date
where it's Stewart's turn
to make the track burn!

At 5 pm Eastern Sunday
it gets underway
on your favorite TV
eating a big bag of Spree!
