I thought the stunt was pretty cool. Except the whole crashing part.:) He would've made it too if he would've held on a little bit longer. Oh well

I don't see why he's stupid, he just tried to do a stunt, heck we have all done some pretty dumb stuff

That was HOT!!!

I watched it like 20 times. Each time, I cringe when he hits the roof, and then laugh as he falls into the bushes.

Great stunt, would have been awesome if he'd made it. 5mph more and he would have made it. The ramp scrubbed a lot of speed. I bet they didn't think that part through.

As long as he's not dead, we can all enjoy it for what it is, a great stunt.

The craziest thing I've ever done is follow Bswift in the woods, I've never tried to jump onto a house on a bike.

That was cool! Looks like he cased it. To me it appeared his front tire landed right on the edge of the roof. Man, just a little bit more speed or if they placed the ramp just a couple of feet closer and the landing would have been pretty smooth.

Yea, instead he slammed into the roof at 35mph and fell 20 feet into ths shrubs. :p

Actually makes me happy to watch that kind of stuff. Won't be to long down the road when you won't be allowed to hurt yourself. :confused:

It was in a Crusty video. He must have finally made it because it shows him jumping off the roof too. I don't think they realize that bicycles just don't have enough suspension travel for riding like that, eh? LOL

He would have made it if he had pulled a "bunny hop" at the end of the ramp. I jumped two cars, end to end, when I was 9 with a 3 foot tall ramp. It's all technique. Justql leads such a sheltered life.

Considering we are very close in our skills, Justql, you need to get out more often and LIVE.
The best stunt that I did (in the mid-seventies) on a bike was jumping six of my buddies laying on the ground without a ramp of any kind. I could go 25 feet linear distance in the air without a ramp just using the "bunny hop". The BMX guys of today are doing stunts that are much more complicated and dangerous. They are riding bikes that can withstand the punishment. My Schwinn Stingray with Kick-in two speed was rewelded, respoked, and had many, many, many sets of handlebars from the stuff I did.
As the saying goes, the jump didn't hurt but the sudden stop and the end, well....;)

The jump you are talking about was in crusty 6. When he jumped off the roof, that was in crusty 2000, it was a different jump.

Stupidist thing i ever did was ride my bike w/no brakes through a jumprope..One end of the rope was tied too a tree, one girl was turning the rope while the other jumped.. I yelled "Get out of the way you stupid girl" and went through..The 2nd try the rope got caught around my neck and i received 3rd degree burns.. It was funny, the doctors questioned me wanting to know if i or my parents tried too hang me (i was7 or 8 at the time) LOL
