Ok, I just put in a new clutch kit with a new clutch cable in my 02 CR125. Now after tweaking the cable adjusters almost 15 times to get the correct 3/4in freeplay, the bike just seems to keep slipping in low gears. What is up with this? does it need to be broken in? I oiled the plates before putting them in the basket. PLEASE help! thanks. :bang:

Some bikes have two adjustments. One on the cable, maybe at both ends, and one on the clutch linkage. Break-in won't fix slippage, you have a problem.

Well the cable has one adjuster on the lever end of the cable. There is also an adjuster on the bracket itself. I have messed with both to get the required 3/4 inch freeplay. But still the clutch seems to slip in every once in awhile in 1st gear...

Shafts

Make sure any and all shafts that are associated with the clutch are not bent. If one is it will not move freely and as designed.

Ok, i found out it was actually a jetting problem.. not a clutch problem. I leaned out the main and now there is no "slipping". Thanks for the help though!
