I'm from Ireland as well :). Dublin direction though.
The Ballykelly track is up your way, though rumour has it the track has just been closed because of noise.

Have a look at www.motocross.ie and www.ulstermotocross.com for what events are going on in the South and North. You don't need a license or anything to practice so you should drop over to one of the tracks some practice day and give it a shot.
