hey i know it is a pain but i would rather get the rain over with and the lakes filled up. good place to ride when its wet is lake murray. i know its not very big but it is mostly sand and its never too wet to ride sand. there will be water standing but it shouldnt be muddy. then there is cross bar up in oklahoma and it is all rock. no mud to worry about.

You southern guys. . . Imagine not riding much at all from the beginning of November until pretty much the 1st of May. :bang:

Cold in the fall and REALLY wet in the spring.

I feel your pain, though. I haven't really ridden since last June b/c of injury.

you guys should come out to Muenster this weekend for the Elmer Symons memorial/benefit ride. We have the pavillion so rain isnt a problemo.

The TORO guys are all racing inside the pavilion, too. A bit crowded, yes, but cozy.

CrossBar can definitely get muddy. It's Oklahoma, but it doesn't take the rain like Kiamichi. As Jim, myself and my son Benjamin experienced a few weeks ago, you can ride Kiamichi in the rain when many of the forest trails have turned in to streams! It was a lot of fun, but we did finally come up to a stream that was too wide/fast/deep for us to cross.

And since I didn't ride today, I am definitely up for a ride next Saturday. If it's rainy weather again, maybe it's time to hit Kiamichi again!

Yes, maybe the Kiamooch. Muenster was cold today, but it didn't rain, and the traction was great. Lots of mud puddles for fun, too. There is a fairly large contingent of guys that want to hit the Kiamichi soon, so we'll have to do that.

we had a really good time at Muenster this weekend. I think some folks over at KTM Talk got some footage of a couple of us climbing J-Tree but I've been banned over there and wont be able to see it. Chris says we also raised close to $3,000 for Elmer's family so that is good too!

Banned, you say? Because of that little 617 thing? What nonsense! That was all in good-natured fun. Some people are wrapped too tight.

I've been e-mailing admin over there and he's been acting like I am some kind of hardened criminal. I talked my way into just getting a suspension but hes since tacked on another week and I'm not sure if I will ever log on there again. He acts like I should beg him to be able to use the forums again. I think I could live without KTM Talk. Its their loss.

He'll get over it. Just wait your time out and go back. With all its faults, it's still a good site. You don't have to beg; just wait 7 days and you're OK.
