Question is has anyone done this? How did you hook that up on your bike? The instructions are not very good on this part (as in they totally suck).

You need to replace the stator with one that provides DC and AC voltage, your stock one only gives AC voltage. There are quite a few options available for stators, the thumpertalk store has a decent selection.
