Then choose file and use either "add file to library" or "add folder to library". Then locate the area on the ipod where the music is and choose it. The songs will be labeled weird stuff like CBRA325, or whatever. Once you pick it and it starts to process it, they will come out correct. Then just disconnect your Ipod and see if the songs are still on your hard drive. I just ran into this the other day and it took me like 1-1/2 hour to figure it out.
