Is NetZero zero?

I've been havng a lot of trouble with my NetZero connection lately (not that it was ever great) - connection times are lasting only 10 minutes or so before I get the "web page not found" error. Netzero appears to be running, but will not connect to any website (connection lost, but no acknowledgement of such).

I've tried virus scanners, adware removal, registry mechanic, deleting internet files and cookies, pop-up blockers - still no difference.

Is this a case of "getting what I pay for"? (Netzero is only 9.95 a month). Anybody else having trouble with this service?

I don't think so. All of the dial-ups suck, no matter how much you pay.

I've been having similar problems with my service, lately.

I noticed the quality of my dial-up went down when they started offereing the '5x faster' service for another $10.00. Call me a conspiracy theorist if you want, but I used to stay connected a lot longer and could actually watch video at one time!

I never had any trouble with free NetZero (other than the pop-ups), and have had no problems with the high speed service. One thing though...it helps to reboot your system often...full turn-off type reboot, not a softboot.

I've been using NZ Highspeed for a couple of months since we moved out of range of cable broadband. And I must say :( :ugg: :uh: . For a while I couldn't access Yahoo Groups. Now I can't access Yahoo Profiles. They don't have a fix as of yet. I'm going to look elsewhere.

I use worldshare. www.worldshare.net. $12 a month and I have no problems. Of course with any dial up you will wait for large files to download but what took 45 minutes on other services takes about 20 minutes with them.
