as a motorcycle junkyard? Or do I just have to search the classifieds to find a whole engine for a bike?

There is such a thing as a motorcycle junkyard. There are 2 that I know of in my area. I've saved mucho dinero a couple of times.

Check your local small time bike shop. I found a guy that had all kinds of parts ripe for the picken. He shure has my business.

If you're not looking for one specific part, can't you just go to a normal junkyard and see if they have what you're looking for?

Jaybob-Look up "Neanderthal Cycle Salvage" on the net. They specialize in late-model Japanese dirtbikes and k-w-a-d-s. I have used them for a couple parts off of new bikes and saved big money with them. You can haggle over the pricing a bit, too. :)
