Just wanted to brag about where I live. I went snowboarding Saturday in a foot of fresh powder and went dirt biking Sunday in perfect conditions. You gotta love Canada.
Did you go to Sun Peaks? Red Mountain (in rossland, bc) is closed but in previous years we've had the ski hill still open when the lower elevation riding areas are open.
purp, Indeed sounds like the dream life. I hear in New Zealand you can be skiing in the morning and surfing in the afternoon. That sounded cool, but I don't surf and dirtbiking sounds like more fun!
Yep I went to Sun Peaks. I have a seasons pass. Just about wasn't worth it this year until that big dump of snow this weekend. I've never been to Red mountain. I hear they have some big powder there some years.
They definitely do. We had one day where we got 53cm (almost 2 feet) overnight! Plus we had gotten a couple more feet over the previous two weeks. The tree skiing is also some of the best in North America. Another good resort is Kicking Horse in Golden, BC.
It has kind of sucked for me the last two years being at University, I still get a season's pass (student rate) but I don't get many days (only 7 this year, I think around 12-15 last year).
