Unfortunately, for every skilled FMX rider there are 10 wannabe's out there that have not talent, only can jump a little and are pains in the rump. They are almost worse for the sport than the renegade ATV riders with no helmets who trespass constantly.
Yes and for every time I go out to the track there is a kid who thinks he can follow my line in the whoops or follow me off a jump and I end up scraping him off the ground and seeing if he wants me to call the meat wagon :silly:
Kind of bad example Ivan, I mean for every fast skilled rider at my track there is 10 kids behind him launching out of control in the whoops, over shooting berms etc....
Are they bad for the sport because they want to learn?
It's easy to do this, but it's not easy to be an "fmx wannabe"
Well you can be a flat out poser and wear the gear and talk it up at bars, but you can pretend to know what you are doing on a track, but off a 8 foot tall ramp , 75 feet long gap and an angle that pitches you 25 feet in the air, the BS stops, :D
Like I said, it's a different ballgame, I respect the TRUE fmx athletes they have INSANE bike skill, A LOT have huge skill in the MX/SX field as well. I believe Kenny Bartram just a little while ago ran a PRO sx race with his cut up FMX bike and even qualified for the main.
Good schtuff, but I got respect for all.
