My question is as states: Can you make any/all changes to pilot jet, main jet and adjusting the clip on the needle while the carb is still on the bike? I have a Mikuni TMX carb on a '01 CR125. I thought I read somewhere you can rotate the carb to adjust the needle clip but I'm too lazy to find it again. I cleaned my air filter and will be getting a few plugs tomorrow. So I just want set everything back to stock setting with 32:1 premix in the tank. I know this may be off topic but does race gas mixed with super "pump" gas make a difference than just using super only?? Any help would be swell fellas. Thanks in advance. My next ride will definately be a 250F.....If I can afford it!! Damn this carb!!! :bang:

some bikes allow you to rotate the carb to change needle settings, jets, etc.... depends largely on the bike, and how much room there is with cable, airboot, etc.... cant help you on mixing the gas. I tend to run super only and havent gone to race gas. If i was to do so, I would run it by itself to keep changes to a minimum. I am not to the point that I need the extra performance, etc., that race gas might actually provide.

I have an 02 cr250 and if you loosed the clamps from the air boot and the reed cage you can turn the carb.turn the top toward you first then take out the two screws on top and remove the slide.then turn it away from yo

sorry.......turn it away from you so the bowl is facing you.take the drain nut off the bottom of the bowl and 1 screw....then the whole bowl will drop.you can change the pilot main and needle like this.Thats what i did....no need to take the carb off the bike.It is so much easier this way.hope this helps.if you just want to change the mian jet in the future just take the drain nut off and the main jet is right there(no need to drop the bowl)good luck
