I split the cases on a JR50 to put new crank bearings and seals in. It had a gasket between the engine cases, I couldn't tell if it was a factory gasket or hand-cut. Whoever worked on this before was a real hack. It was not running when I got it and I found numerous things assembled incorrectly. The parts diagrams don't show a gasket for in between the case halves, and the diagrams DO show all other gaskets. I thought most cases were just sealed with compound only, no gasket in order to maintain correct crankshaft endplay. I bought a complete gasket kit for this bike and it includes everything except a gasket for the cases. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gasket in there, and if so where do I get one?? Thanks everybody.
