Hi everyone. I haven't really been here in a while, as I've been pre-occupied with a whole lot of other things! I just wanted to update you guys on Mike's leg. He's still out of work, but his leg is healing nicely. About 4 weeks after the "accident" he started walking (very slowly), and now he's able to get around pretty good. He hates that the physical therapist tells him he shouldn't be walking unless it is necessary, but he's doing what he can! The doctor originally told him he'd be out until September 13th, but he's released him to go back on 8/25. So . . . that's the latest with me. I haven't been riding since the school, and I'm a little depressed about it, but now I had some surgery (gallbladder removal) and can't ride for a while anyway! I guess someone wanted us to take a break from riding!

On a side note - thanks Michelle for the magazine! I got it in the mail on Monday, and Mike was really glad you sent it. Thanks again!

Talk to you all soon,
Sarah

Hey Sarah!!!! Glad to hear that Mike is doing so well, please tell him I said hello! By the way, have you seen the thread on the Furnace Harescramble up at Prairie City??? You should consider entering!

Let's try to hook up for a ride sometime soon!

Sarah, sounds like you have been busy. Are you okay after your op? What caused that (if you don't mind me asking)? I was under the impression they only removed the g.b. after damage?

Glad Mike's still healing well (I'll always picture him sitting at the bottom of the hill turning paler & paler). I can't remember, did his bike have an e-button? No doubt he'll be wanting one ;)
Take care & do keep in touch, you've been missed.

OMGosh Sarah, how did I miss the part about your gb surgery?  I'm really close to you so if you need any help don't hesitate to call me, I'll PM you my number.

Karna and I can take you to lunch if not to the trails!

Michelle:

They checked for gall stones, but didn't find any. However, I had a "non-functioning" gallbladder that was causing a lot of pain and discomfort. So, they got rid of it. It probably has something to do with my weight, since that doesn't help gall bladder issues, so I'm still working on getting my weight where it needs to be!

Thanks,
Sarah
