Just lighten up!

kids can expect a lot in the preteen year, had to take a step back, a few years ago with the kids. and do what chrismas was really about!! being with who you love and who loves you! as far for family parties the gag's are the best! my dad and me have been exchanging the same gift for years " a red plaid pair of pants still in the same box.
this year i'm buying nothing but dirt bike presents!!!! and most of them are going to have my name on them :p the dog going to give me one. the cat. bird, nexted door neighbor ect. ect.

What can my wife really say if the dog gets me new Boots?
And the cat thinks I would like new tires.

Yikes treading into the religious mine field:scream: I think of the birth of Christ, and the reasons for being more during the holiday season. Every year it makes me say to myself, "I should do this more often", one of these times I hope I will listen. Everything has a good and a bad side, its all what you make of it, I try to focus on the good, the kids, family,the spirit of giving, and especially HOLIDAY PAY ;) Now if I could just find some more things that are positive about WINTER. What would really make my holidays would be to celebrate it with palm trees rather than a Christmas tree, oh well at least there's no bugs:D See pos-i-tive!

I love parts of Christmas but hate others... like being drug to church at night after the kids have already had a BIG day and then hanging out at my wife's god parents place after church. Nice people but boooring Ward and June type!

I love playing bingo for presents at my parents place. ( our version of the gift exchange, you can CLAIM other people gifts too just like in the old days of AMA racing!) I love going to my in-laws c-eve, I love going to my wife's uncles place (good beer and food).

I especially love my kids faces on Christmas morning! There is nothing better!... well maybe Christmas day night... if I've been a good boy! :p

I also love being away from work as I usually take 1-2 weeks off!!! Now if there just wasn't a foot of snow all the time I'd really enjoy it!!
