I FINALLY got a bike for one of my sons, an '86 KD80.
I know that they share alot of parts with the other rotary valve singles, like the MC1, G5, KE, KM, etc...
I had a few of them back in the day.
I need a shifter shaft for the 86.
Some various parts list as fitting 81 thru 86 KD....
Other parts list as fitting only the 72 thru 80 singles....
Does anyone know if the shifter shaft is the same between the older small singles and the 81 thru 86 range? One thing makes me worry they are not the same:
Shift patern. My old MC1 was all up, and this KD is one down 4 up. So I assume the tranny is different inside, but I dunno?!?
