kdx vin number

Can someone please tell me whereto look for a vin number on a kdx220 96.I have tried to find it but I maybe looking in the wrong area.Can someone please help me out.

It should be where the steering stem is on the frame. There should be a number stamped on the right side of that "tube" right below the triple tree.

Thanks for your reply,I will have another look around that area today.All I can find there at the moment is just a engine number but I will have another look.Thanks

If the frame has been sandblasted/repainted the number might be hard to find, the same as if it had been stolen and ground off. On a US version KDX of that vintage there should also be a sticker on the steering stem with the VIN printed on it.
