Drill at a good 1/2 dozen 1/2" holes in the rear section (raised part) of the cover. That will give you improved airflow..NOT give you the dead duck sound, leave your sparkbox mounted where it is and give you a bit of detritus (leaves and big junk) control over removing the thing altogether.

Well...on a '95-02..... ;)

A guess?
A place to put a rectifier (vs: the oem AC regulator) for an SR type? Or for someone that wants to 'street legal' their US kdx?

Great guess

One is for the regulator and the other is the CDI box.

Paint the air box cover yellow and take your son to the park and play frisbee with it. It's all they are good for. IMO
