Have any of you guys had any success with taller handlebars? I need something a little taller than the stock ones. When I stand while riding I have to hunch over pretty bad. I think a taller bar will help with this.

The KDX-220 I helped restore for a friend had pro-taper bars with 1" risers. A nice setup, didn't look like a complicated install or like it was anything that wasn't off the shelf.

Couldn't ride my 200 with the stock bars. I am 5-11 and it was like riding a sport bike I was bent over so far. I switched to Pro Taper SE bars with a CR high bend. They work well for me

Yeah I am 6 foot and I rode for about 3 hours the other day and my back and wrist were killing me from leaning over. I saw something somewhere else about CR High bends. I will have to look into that.

Rox also has 3.5" and 5" if you look under snowmobile pivoting risers. (I have the 3.5 on my KLR)

I got 7/8" Renthal Jimmy Button bend bars, with the KDX handlebar mounts turned around, pretty upright stance. I'm 6'2" if that helps. I love my ergonomics compared to most other bikes I sit on, where it feels like the bars are in your lap.

Higher Bars

I had similar problems and just went on to sites such as Renthal, Rocky Moutain, Etc. and looked at the dimension specs until I found a set that suited me i.e.; taller, less sweep, width, Etc.

I use them too and are great for standup compared to stock, plus you can hammer trees w/o bending.

I guess I need to get a set of these bars.
I've got some trees on my property that need to come down and I don't want to spend $300 on a new chainsaw.
:whoa:

Were you guys able to adjust your stock clutch cable for these bars? Or did you have to get a longer cable? My new Renthal Jimmy Button bars came in today, and my clutch lever will not reach. I have not tried to adjust it yet.

KDX220 Bars

I was able to get the Jimmy Buttons all squared away. I am going to go for a long bumpy ride this weekend to try them out.
