I replaced stock springs on 02 220 ---actually Factory Connection did the job. Put on .44 kg at their suggestion. The ride feels great and I can now brake with my front brake without fully compressing the springs.
However, the when i compress the forks without the engine running it sounds like I'm jumping on an old matress or maybe a pogo stick.
Is this normal? I called Factory Connection and they said that it is okay. Is this BULL SH__?

Thanks

It is normal. take it out and ride it, get some oil on the springs and it will go away trust me.

When you tightened the nut on the fork cap I would bet you held the outer fork tube and turned the cap? If you did, take it apart and this time hold the cap/nut and turn the fork tube to tighten.
Do a search....

Agreed. I made the same mistake the first time I did my forks.
