Kill swtch removal

trying to get to the bottom of it
I'm trying to remove the kill switch because I'm going down the list of why its so hard to start the bike, it has a new plug, the next thing on the list is to disconect the kill switch, the 1997 through 2000 models are, notorious for have starting problems. If its not the switch the it must be in the ignition system, I think. I know I could get awy without a kill switch, I had a 99 rm 125 for several years, it didnt have a kill swith and I never had any problems with its ignition. I kinda wish I never got rid of it. This bike here though is just problem after problem. Thanks though.

So you have a 10 year old bike and you think the iginition is the problem?
Wow, news flash. Probably not the problem. Take out the plug, kick over the motor see if you have spark.
More than likely you are due for a engine rebuild and carb cleaning/jetting/tuning

Perhaps you'd best be served by picking up a service manual. If you can't manage to disconnect the kill switch, I'd guess the really hard stuff is going to be nearly impossible.
Follow the wires from the switch down the frame, until you come to the connector. Pull the connector apart. Done.
