(that should get you reading)

Anyway - I love the new 12/48 setup - works really well. Really moves 3rd gear down to a useable range and puts me in 2nd most of an enduro. First is just plain TRACTOR.

The new o-ring chain seems to be working well, but the kinks have not worked themselves out yet. It now has one enduro (80 miles) and is better - but still does not fall flat on its own accord. There is no binding or rough spots and although there is noticebly more drag when spinning the wheel on a stand - it spins free.

I guess I never paid that close attention to a new o-ring before. Is this notchyness sort of the norm for a while?

Prepping the bike for Moab now. Mirrors are back on (looks quite comical) GPS is wired up - everything is geting the locktight treatment now.

Yeah, an o-ring has much more stiffness between the links because of the compressed o-rings, that's what keeps the crud out. It won't get floppy like a regular chain.
