with the cover off on the pipe side, should I be able to rotate the shaft by grabbing the gear on top? Mine turns by hand with some force. with the gear off, the upper kips operates smooth and easy. Is this normal?
no should not be that easy that shaft controls 2 barrel valves and a slider plate in the middle, take your pipe of and look into the exhuast side of the cylinder you should be able to see all of the moving parts.....why not keep your original thread going ?
