KIPS Main Valve Removal

KDX200 2001 question:
If I am removing the KIPS main shaft do I also have to remove the Valve Lockbolt. This is the bolt on the cylinder that holds the ball bearing in place.

Also, what is the best way to remove the main valve shaft nut ?

If I knew how to attach a photo I would have.

Remove the lockbolt. This way you won't shoot the bearing across the garage. To remove the nut,wrap the opposite end gear with leather and grasp it gently with vise grips & remove the nut.
