KLX110 Hop-ups

Are there any hop ups to be done to this bike to make it somewhat more responsive? I own a KDX220 and after opening up the airbox, rejetting and a couple of other minor mods, the bike is completely different.

Is there anything similar to this that can be done to the KLX110?

Other things that could help - pipe, silencer, etc... without spending a ton of cash as I think my son will be on this bike this year and next and that will be all.

you can add the 4th gear to the KLX110. The US models have a differant shifter drum so it only uses 3 of the 4 gears in the tranny. If you by a new 4 speed shifter drum you can get the 4th gear.
