I currently wear a pair of $20 knee guards but I've come to realize that they won't protect from hyperextension or other injuries.

So I am wondering if the less expensive knee braces (such as the EVS Vision $200/pr) provide substantial protection from hyperextension?

Money is an issue so I can't go out and buy a $600 pair of asterisks. But I need something more than what I have.

thanks!!

Thor Force aren't braces are they?

Seems I remember Dirt Rider Mag liked the EVS Vision as an inexpensive alternative for those without the budget for higher-end braces.

I just received my September issue of Dirt Rider magazine yesterday. It has a knee brace comparison article you might want to check out. I used to wear the EVS RS-6 knee braces, but stepped up to the Asterisks. The EVS braces may give you enough support and confidence, but didn't go far enough to protect my rickety knees. I NEVER ride without my Asterisks. They are not only very comfortable, but give excellent protection and wear like iron.
