Dear Mr. Know-It-All, I have a 2011 KTM 85 that had major plug fowling problems that we fixed by putting the throttle-slider needle clip to the second notch to the top. When it was fowling a plug, it used to start second kick every time cold; now, it takes 15 odd kicks to get it to fire up. When it does start, it revs to full throttle without me touching the throttle until it’s warm. The weird thing is, if you started it in the morning and let it cool down completely, it would start second kick like a normal two-stroke.
