Wow, that was one long freakin' race!! And all this time I thought it stayed in a different hemisphere.

With the cc restrictions, KTM (according to my source) has hinted at re-surrecting the original Dakar and go back to Africa, as well as focus on the European rallies.
It's a shame - they waited until now to announce this new rule, after preparations have been long on it's way. Jonah Street will be here in town this weekend, I hope to find out more.
This rally will go away quickly now. The only bikes that ran last year as 450's were Yamahas, and a few privateers.

Maybe KTM will target Baja and Score now.

As other have said, Dakar SA will soon pass into the past. :)
