KX 250 Frames Breaking?

I've noticed several KX250's being parted out at auction due to frame break at the steering head. Anyone else aware of this? Is this a known issue with the L version of the KX250?
Thanks!!!
 
KDX is the ONLY bike out there that didn't need to be improved on, year after year, like other bikes.
