kx fork swap

i found a pair of forks from a 95 kx 250 with the pro circuit kit??? for 200 bucks... is it worth it? what do i need. i can keep the stock tire right? i need new trees and what else? i love the bike but those forks suck and theyre ugly as hell i havent had a problem but i havent really ridden the bike yet thanks chris

The newer technology came along in 96 for the KX forks. Not that the 95's are bad or anything. You can keep your stock tire but the wheel may not work for that setup. Not sure what you mean when you say the forks suck and you haven't had a problem with them in the same sentance.
If possible, try and get the tripleclamps, forks and front wheel as a set. Your brake should work on the KX though. Tell us how it turns out if you decide to go for it.
