Hi,
I just put a new clutch(fibers, steel and springs),cable, lever and perch on my sons 65kx and it's hard for him to pull in.Double checked free play and adjustments at lever and lower end of cable , everything seems fine but it takes a fair squeeze for him to pull it in compared to his buddies bike.Is there something I'm missing..I can't seem to figure it out?? :bang:
Did you use OEM parts?
Why did you replace everything?
Grooves in the basket?
The 'throw' shaft that goes into the clutch cover has bearings on either end. Perhaps one or both of them need attention?
With all new parts, you may need to shim the end of the shaft so that the lever that the cable hooks to on the case end is at a good angle (just over 90 degrees).
yes the clutch internals are OEM but the lever and perch are ASV for small hands. They were all replaced because it would not function properly when I bought it and these are all the changes I've made one at a time trying to fix it.The angle of the shaft is more offset to the rear than just off 90degrees)
I will recheck the basket and check the bearings.
I have adjusted it very which way I can but still stiff.
thanks
