I had my sons 2000 KX65 suspension tuned and lifted. In the shock, this involved a revalve and shorter dog bones. In the forks, something was machined and a longer, hardened allen screw was installed in the bottom of the fork to accomodate. Tuning of some sort was then performed to accomodate this lift: which is about 5/8". As a baseline, I set the forks at 10mm above the triple clamps.

All in all, the suspension works appears to work well; but when he lands from jumps, the front end seems to wallow from side to side a bit. He doesn't notice it but I can see it. Should I slide the forks down in the triple clamps? Any comments would be appreciated.

I would speak to the tuner who did the conversion as he should have the most knowledge on this bike.

It sounds like the frt. is soft. Lowering the forks a little or increasing oil ht. may help some.
