Ian and I will be there around 10:00am and may also have my daughter (Hannah) with us......she has not made up her mind yet. We will be taking it somewhat easy as we will be breaking in a new bike. Should be a nice day.

Well I am back from Evart.....Ummm we will have to see if I can make it outta bed in the morning. Evart destroyed me today.

6" of heavy wet snow and no studs, oh and I was running a trials tire on my X expecting dirt not snow. It was waaaaay fun to say the least. But ohhh my I can barely lift my arms. Totaly tore me up.

Took us 2 hours ride time to get around. That was along with 2 hours idle time (4 hours total) and an average speed of 5mph. I got up a mind numbing 21mph once today and I thought I was going to die!

It was like a yard sale out there. Every 1/2 mile or so someone was hung up or sideways or out in the trees or or or or....It was pretty crazy. But man was it fun.

we got back to the parking lot and 2 others drive up on bikes. They looked at us like we were insane :whoa: A coment about us not being wrapped too tight seemed to be the theme of the day.

Ill see if I can lift my arms in the morning. If Im not there when you go to head out dont wait around, Ill probably still be laying in bed chewing ibuprofen

sounds like fun, last time i rode in the snow was january this year. i broke my collar bone, not because of the snow though :bang:

ill just have to deal with getting wet as i don't have anything that is waterproof. usually i can find a way threw with minimal mud/water getting on me.

Badger, Digger and I had a great time out there with you and Ian. Its been a good week for me. Ive been out riding 4x in the last 7 days. Cant beat that.

That is one pretty bike Ian is sporting. Im suprised you didn't keep that one for yourself and give JR the hand-me-down. I know I would of. I was gonna ask for a ride on one of them pretty orange bikes but knew it would just pull me even deeper over the 2-stroke ege. And that wouldn't be a good thing.

Here are those links I was telling you about

Yes, that was a great time. Thanks for deciding to come along. I am glad we had Digger there to crack the whip or we might still be out there! LOL! Nothing brings me more enjoyment than spending the day play riding with kids. All my years of riding with buddies and racing enduros pales in comparison to chasing Ian around the woods. You know, I think he likes the new bike! We stopped to see my mom on the way out of TL and Ian ended up taking his grandma for a ride around the neighborhood! What a hoot!

BTW, shame on me for not offering one of those poison orange bikes to you for a test ride. Next time for sure.........

cold, wet, slippery and slimy. there were a few holes that were torn up alot since ive been there last. but it was a blast, my dad lost a subframe/kickstand bolt and the other kickstand/chainroller bolt was really loose. he decided to take the road back, got lost and ended up doing more miles than we did.

Any snow or just wet and muddy?

we were straight west of Evart (At Tin Cup) today and found abt 3 to 4 inches of the white stuff in the woods so I suspect it would still have been snow at Evart too.
Quite wet, poured water/mud out of the right boot when I got back to the truck - took abt 45 minutes to clean the mud off the bike when I got home - plus almost toasted a set of rear brake pads. Great FUN!

Yes snow, but if you stay on the trail there were enough bikes to stir up the dirt in the last couple days. Do the trail clockwise, to avoid trashed out rooted uphills. But if you like those do the trail counterclockwise. Anyway have fun. I had a BLAST there today.

Yea we had a heck of a time going counter clockwise breaking the trail out there Saturday. Those hills were.....interesting :whoa: Our group of 10 was the ones that broke the trail out there Saturday :ride: It was virgin snow when we got there.

I must thank you yzman400 for breaking the trail in. I could tell your group found it slippery, there were tracks all over the place. I figured out why you told us to wear waterproof gear too. Some of the your tracks went right through the middle of every mud puddle. My biggest fear was falling in a huge mud puddle, and I did near the end. I did not get too wet though. On Sunday it only took me 2 hours 45 minutes to ride the trail, Normally I can do it in 2 hours.

We rode Tin Cup and the trail was great! Tons of traction as long as you stayed out of the white stuff. It was my first time there and I WILL be going back. :)
