I want to get a bike lift stand that will work for several heavier bikes. Anyone familiar with those listed in the Dennis Kirk catalog? They have an EXCEL moto x lift stand (steel) for $81.00, and a Moose aluminum lift stand for $90.00 Minimum and maximum heights are listed.

To me, the steel one looks like the better model with a bigger platform. Anyway, anyone try any of these, or other different models? Details?

Or any other ideas for lift stands for heavier bikes? What features should I be looking for? Thanks.

The only lift stand I have ever had is the Titax or Titan (cant remember the name) Even after lubing the roller I still need to lift on my WR250 to get it off the ground. I only paid about $35 for so I cant complain too much.

Contact Bob's Cycle Supply in Minnesota. They stock (or used to) a very good aluminum lift stand with no brand name on it. We've used them for years and they don't wear out and don't cost a lot. I've tried other brands and paid more and liked them less.
