I'm want to ride my 05 YZ450 on trails and I need some lighter springs. I want to do this first and get it pretty close to see if I want to keep it. I'm an old 250 2 stroke person and I may or may not keep the bike. That's why I don't want to do any valving mods because I might sell it if I still like the 2 strokes better.

If anyone has spring size recommendations or springs for sell, I would appreciate an email or post. I weight 180 and I want it nice and plush. I modified my son's YZ by dropping the springs sizes and turning the compression and rebound off. Amazing, it works great. I'm sure it was blind luck, but I think I'll try that approach on the 450 first.

Thanks,
JCW

Check out the parts that come on the WR-450. I think they may be interchangable. The WR is designed for the ride you're after, so the springs might be the perfect swap. Turning the rebound off seems weird. Does it pogo now?
