The AXO MMZero Carbon is 1200 grams. Really light. AXO isn't bringing them into the US. I got mine from a European dealer. THe M2R Revelation X seems like a great deal and is light as well (1300 g I think). It is the "import" version of the made-in-USA Revelation. The USA version Revelation is only 1000 grams, but retails for around $600.

I recently purchased the M2R RevX and love it. Very light like reported and the amenities are very good. I preferred the Shoei brand before but after my last one came apart prematurely, I went for a cheaper helmet and am not disappointed. Plus the "Team" series has some seriously cool metalflake, dude

I don't think the Axo CF helmet is approved by DOT or Snell but I could be wrong. Make sure you ask as, IMO, it's important to get a helmet that at least meets those standards.

I have the Fox Pilot as well and I bought it because my neck was always sore after riding. My old helmet (a JT ALS2 full face) was heavy and that has helped to some extent, but it's still sore once in a while.

Any tips as to how to eliminate the soreness?

Thanks,
Ed

well I also wear a fox airframe chest protector but I put on an ECS neck brace the normal 1.5" size my helmet doesn't get knocked back n forth as much with it and my neck is alot less sore now in fact I've actually stopped complaining about it ever since I started wearing it months ago. they are on $40 I suggest springing for the cover it will last longer.

My carbpn fiber AXO comes in under two pounds and you can feel a difference on your nugget. It is both DOT and Snell approved. Unfortunately they have been discontinued.

What did the CF AXO retail for? If I recall nearly $700 ? If it's the one I remember, no wonder it was discontinued, lol!!

M2R is sending a Rev X for us to beat-up, will post the review asap. Based on the info received, looks to be a great buy; the best I've seen (on paper anyway). Don't expect a crash test though, the crash test dummy (AJ) can't ride yet. :p

The only thing I can say about the M2R RevX 'Team Yellow' that is not praise, is that the graphics aren't real tough. My last dez race I duct taped my helmet mark sticker to the top of my helmet and when I removed the tape just a few days later some of the clear coat came with the tape. No big deal really unless the sweet metalflake starts to come off. I am interested to hear what you guys think, Okiewan.

I know a guy that rides with one of those beanie helmets that all the Harley riders wear. I'm sure it doesn't weigh very much, but you will sacrifice some protection.

They were running about $500-550, although I got mine for $330 new.
