Loose shock?

I was looking at my shock today and it moves side to side quite a bit like the whole shock will move, but i went to friends and his bike does the same thing, we got the same bike but different years. YZ125's is this normal

There should be little play but not a lot . It might be that your shock bearing is shot .

There should be no play that you can actually feel up and down or side to side but the shock might rotate on the spherical bearings.

yeah my whole shock body moves, i havent taken it apart to see how the bearing are dirtybkr but when i get a chance i will

It's normal to have a little movement, nothing to worry about.
