Lowering Foot Pegs

I'm wanting to lower the foot pegs. There doesn't seem to be any
one making any kits for KDX. I was thinking about fabing up new
mounting brackets and welding them on or trying to cut the originals
off and relocating them.


Anyone here done this?

Haven't done it, but looking at my 200 it appears that you could cut the stock mounts off and weld them back on about 3/4" lower without running into issues.

I decided to bite the bullet and carried my bike to the shop last
weekend and lowered my pegs. I managed to get a full Inch and
a quarter ( 1 1/4 ) out of the mod. Now I can grip the seat with
my knees instead of my shins. :)

arent you guys worried about the coming into contact with the ground and wrecking, mine made contact the other day and it tossed me off rather quickly, I almost would want to do the opposite

I did have to mod the brake lever to clear the 1/4" flat stock I
used to lower the pegs. I have not made any mod as to the height
for the peg .... YET.... I wanted to ride the bike for several days first.
The brake pedal is slightly higher now than the peg, but I ride on the
balls of my feet and try not to use the rear brake more than necessary.

As for the shifter lever (no mod performed) it is perfect now.
I was having a tough time getting under it before with my riding boots on (FOX size 14).

I have noticed others posting pics linked to Photobucket in the last several days.
