Lowering RM125 by installing shorter shock

I really need to lower my 1990 RM125 and the seat foam cutting will not work. I am only 5'1 and ride this bike on
many trails and would be great to be lower. If I install
a shorter rear shock wouldn't that take care of the problem.
I don't know of anyone that makes the lowering links for the RM. Thanks for any comments.
