Doing MX or enduro as a sport and this sport going to be a whole new ball game for me, what work and maintenance needs to be done after every ride and approx monthly how much to repair general things. What is the most costly part to change. But I presume the expenditure is all worth the fun. Would these workshop manuels for example a CR250 actually guide me enough to manage some maintenance on that bike.

Yep - If you get an owners/repair manual, they put things out step by step in great detail. If you have the tools (basic wrench/socket set, and work carefully, you can do a total rebuild by the book.

The most costly part to change is going to be a crankshaft. It is at the center of the motor...and a pain to get at. Usually, when you need a new crank, you'll need a new piston too, which means a new set of gaskets...total cost is about 350$ in American dollars. However, when you're done, (if you were careful and did things correctly) the engine is prettymuch brand new again!
